Day 1: Welcome to Pelling Sightseeing
As your seasoned tour guide, I’m thrilled to have you join us for this adventure! Today, we start with your arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP), Bagdogra Airport (IXB), or Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction). From there, we’ll embark on a scenic journey to Pelling Sightseeing, covering approximately 140 kilometers in 5 ½ – 6 hours. Pelling Sightseeing is a charming hill station nestled at an altitude of 6800 feet (2072 meters).
On a clear day, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himalayan range, including peaks like Pandim, Kumbhakarna, Rathong, Khangchendzonga, Zopuno, Shimbho, Narsing, and Sinolchu. In the evening, you’re free to explore the delightful settlement, which is rich in Rhododendron, Orchids, and wildlife. You can also stroll around the helipad or visit the shopping center. Rest well at your hotel in Pelling Sightseeing.
Day 2: Pelling Sightseeing’s Natural Wonders (Full Day)
After a hearty breakfast at your hotel, get ready for a full day of exploring the natural wonders around Pelling Sightseeing. Our journey will take us through lush forests and introduce us to the area’s rich botanical and zoological diversity. We’ll visit remarkable places such as Rimbi Water Falls, Rimbi Rock Garden, Kechopalri Lake (known as a holy Buddhist lake where wishes are believed to come true), Kechopalri Monastery, Kanchenjunga Water Falls, Pemayangtse Monastery, and the fascinating Rabdantse ruins.
The view from the top of the ruins, overlooking the mystical Kanchendzonga ranges, is a sight to behold. In the evening, you’ll have some free time to explore the helipad or the shopping center. Enjoy another comfortable night in Pelling Sightseeing.
Day 3: Onwards to Gangtok with Pelling Sightseeing Local Attractions (Half Day)
After a delicious breakfast, we’ll set out for Gangtok, covering a distance of approximately 135 kilometers in 3 – 3 ½ hours. Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, is a beautiful hill station renowned for its monasteries, orchids, high-altitude lakes, hot springs, majestic Himalayan vistas, and vibrant butterfly population. Upon arrival, you’ll check into your hotel. Later, we’ll explore local attractions, including the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Research Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten (Stupa), Enchey Monastery, White Hall, and Flower Show. The evening is free for you to relax. Enjoy your overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 4: Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir Expedition (Full Day)
After a scrumptious breakfast at your hotel, get ready for an exciting excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir, located about 40 kilometers away. Tsomgo Lake is a mesmerizing oval-shaped lake, often covered in snow throughout the year. It’s home to Brahmini ducks and numerous migratory birds. Nearby, you’ll visit the sacred Baba Mandir, a place of great reverence. Optionally, you can explore Nathu La Pass, which is about 20 kilometers from here. In the evening, you’re free to roam around M.G. Road (Mall) or visit the local shopping centers. Enjoy another cozy night in Gangtok Sightseeing. (Please note that if Tshangu Lake is closed for any reason, an alternate sightseeing option will be provided.)
Day 5: Departure from Pelling Sightseeing
After breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to the scenic beauty of Gangtok Sightseeing. We’ll journey to Siliguri, New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP), Bagdogra Airport (IXB), or Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction), covering approximately 135 kilometers in 4 ½ – 5 hours.
